Mental illness , also called mental health disorders . It refers to a wide range of mental health conditions. They are different type of disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behaviour. For example: depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviours, such as, TOC, drugs, alcohol, pornography, games, work, emotional attachment, and much more.    Many people are still not aware of Mental disorders , and they do not understand the fact that we all may have at least one, especially in these times with such a busy lifestyle, where we barely have time for ourselves to take good care of our mental health. Mental illness is real and it’s an important topic we all as humanity should be able to talk about openly, and without any barriers or shame. A mental illness can seriously make you miserable and can cause problems in your daily life, such as at school or work or in relationships. REALITY OR FANTASY?

Image
Sometimes I wonder if dreams are real or unreal. Are dreams part of a different dimension or are they just part of our brain’s creation? I don’t know yet, but one thing I know, they come true sometimes, and other times they just live in our free heads. We all have dreams nearly every day, therefore we get used to them and tend to dismiss them and ignore them. I believe that dreams are way more than flowing dreams. In this five broad dimensions world we don’t know any more what’s real and what is false. For example, if we talk about spirits (ghosts), good and evil, then we could say they exist, but we cannot see them with our physical eyes (3D dimensions). Although, we are not able to see paranormal events, they surely exist in a different dimension we are not able to touch, spot or detect the smell of.  Open eyes, open mind, open spirit, that is all we need to truly know that there is much more in this world than we can perceive. Our physical body has both spirit and soul. It’s onl...

Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics: Connection in language learning.

Image
To explain the relationship between Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics we must first define what they are and what their study involve.   Neurolinguistics is a science that study how the brain reacts to language, as well as how and where our brains store our knowledge of the language that we process to understand, read, and write.    Psycholinguistics or Psychology of language is the study of the interrelation of linguistics and psychology aspects to determine the mechanism by which language is process and represented in the mind and brain for human to acquire, use and produce language.   Knowing both studies, we can say that Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics are two disciplines that are linked regardless of their differences, they are both concerned about how language is processed by our mind and brain, that enable humans to use, comprehend and produce a language. Another relation we can mention between these 2 disciplines, is that they have theories an...

Let’s start by explaining what Literary translation is…      Literary translation consists of the translation of poetry, plays, literary books, literary texts, as well as songs, rhymes, literary articles, fiction novels, novels, short stories, poems, etc.      One of the key challenges of literary translation is the need to balance staying faithful to the original work with the need to create something unique and distinctive that will evoke the same feelings and responses as the original. This can be particularly challenging when it comes to translating poetry.      By understanding that, we can say that to do a literary translation we must take in consideration not only the semantics, grammar, literary style, and fidelity but many other factors such as, a good knowledge of the source and target language, the author’s country and history. When we translate a language we also translate its culture.        A good literary tr...

The Importance of Pragmatics as a language learner
